Bio

 

Although better known as an actor, Seamus has long been interested in directing. He did his first course in IADT with Ken Wardrop and Andrew Freedman (His and Hers) and went on to do an intensive, residential Documentary Filmmaking course at the Film Farm in Poland run by DFG, London in 2006.

 

In 2007 his script Tome Feenes, co-written with Michael Collins, was shortlisted for the BSE/Irish Film Board Short Cuts Award and the RTE/Cork Film Centre Short Film Award, but was unsuccessful. Seamus raised funds privately and the film was completed in March of 2010 and re-cut in January 2011.

 

In 2009, Seamus worked as a shadow director on Ros na Run and returned in 2010 as a director in his own right, directing 4 Episodes.
