For too long Irish directors have been losing revenue from outdated, ineffectual Irish copyright law. New copyright legisation in line with Europe that encompasses digital use, equitable remuneration, a private copy levy, would ensure Irish content is poised for maximum return to Irish filmmakers and the exchequer.
