Bio

 

Paddy Cahill is a self-shooting director, cameraman and editor. 

 

As a director, his work has been broadcast on national TV, as well as being screened at numerous film festivals and exhibitions in Ireland and internationally. 

 

His recent documentary Seán Hillen, Merging Views won the best short documentary award at the 2016 Galway Film Fleadh and has been screened at Dublin Documentary Festival and numerous other festivals during 2016 and 2017.

 

Cahill has been a long term collaborator with performance artist Amanda Coogan. Their experimental feature film Yellow, premiered at the 2012 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and travelled internationally to many festivals and events. His new feature documentary Amanda Coogan: Long Now premiered at the 2017 Audi Dublin International Film Festival. 

 

Another frequent subject of his films is architecture, which dates back to a 2009 documentary about the building Liberty Hall, that was broadcast on RTÉ1. He’s been working full-time as a freelance videographer and cameraman ever since.
