Bio

 

A multi-award winning writer and director, Mark Cogan studied film and TV production at St. John’s College, Cork. His short film All Night Long screened at the Short Film Corner of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. He has written and directed a trilogy of short films featuring the same three central characters; Heart, Partly Cloudy and The Handsome Shadows. He is the recipient of both the Best Screenplay Award (Heart, 2010) and Best Director Award (Partly Cloudy, 2012) from the Underground Cinema Awards. Partly Cloudy also won the Best Independent Film and Best Actress awards at Underground Cinema. It also received the Best Script Award at the 2013 LIT Film Festival in Limerick. His films have had many screenings internationally at numerous festivals.
