Bio

 

Maria is originally from Hackney, East London and studied has an actress at E15 Acting School. She has worked as a professional actress in both London & Dublin. She is also a playwright and several of her plays including ‘Conditioned’ ‘Out Of Control’ & ‘No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs’ have been staged in theatre venues in Ireland.

 

She has a Masters in Science in Digital Film Production from Staffordshire University and is an award winning director & writer of the short films The Couple (2005) Bittersweet (2011) Waiting (2012) She is currently enjoying success with her fourth short Life (2014) which was included in the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival 2014.

 

She has a short film currently in development A Way Out which will go into production in November 2014. She is now working on new material for her first feature film Numb and Lily & Stanley.
