Bio

Laura McNicholas is a producer/director who has worked extensively in a variety of roles in the Irish film industry. She has worked as a Production Executive on three feature films for Samson Films (TIGER RAID, A DARK SONG & THE TRUTH COMMISSIONER) where she 

worked alongside the Producer on Casting, Production, Post Production and delivery to broadcasters and financiers. In addition to this, Laura has worked as a Producer on two hugely succesful short films (LEAVE, CUTTING GRASS) that have been screened at a number of high profile international film festivals from Lebanon to Helsinki and Cork to New York. As well as this she has also shot the EPKs for GLASSLAND & A DATE FOR MAD MARY along with a number of press junkets for Element Pictures (including those for FRANK, ROOM, ’71, GLASSLAND, TRADERS, SONG OF THE SEA & THE LOBSTER) and she shot a BTS Red Carpet promo for the TRANSFORMERS Premiere for Paramount Pictures.

Most recently Laura has co-directed and produced the short film MR. YEATS AND THE BEASTLY COINS which premiered at the 2016 Audi Dublin International Film Festival and is being distributed by Wildcard Distribution. Already the film has received a great reaction and has been selected for the Newport Beach Film Festival in LA, the Moscow, Boston and Toronto Irish Film Festivals, the Fastnet Short Film Festival in Schull and the Deep Focus Film Festival for Female Directors at the Triskel Arts Centre in Cork. MR YEATS will also screen shortly on RTE.
