Bio

After graduating from Trinity College with a degree in maths and computers Kev worked as  Red Bull's DJ for Ireland, sold smoothies at festivals and had a wholesale fruit company. Then he crashed THE van and broke the businesses. This forced him to start working in films, specifically in Visual Effects. He has worked on large budget productions like Star Wars VIII, Game of Thrones and Alice in Wonderland. Whilst on these jobs he has learned a huge amount about film making, the production process – and a few things about visual effects! Through the years he has been experimenting with his own film making. He made music videos for Lisa Hannigan and shot short documentaries in New Zealand and Cuba. In July 2015 he directed his first dramatic short film – More Than God.

More Than God qualified for an Oscar, screened at over 40 festivals worldwide and won a bunch of awards.

The success of More Than God led Kev to be shortlisted for Lexus Short film competition run by The Weinstein Company. Out of 5,000 international entries he was chosen as one of the 4 directors to produce a short film that was funded by Lexus and produced by The Weinstein Company. The short is called The Nation Holds Its Breath. It has been greatly received at festivals worldwide receiving a number awards.

Kev has recently started working on commercials with Red Rage productions and is working on the script of his first feature film – SALAMANDER.
