Bio
Kealan O’Rourke is an award-winning director working in both Live-Action Film and Animation. His short films have garnered multiple awards from festivals around the world. In 2011 Kealan was named no. 2 on the prestigious Hollywood Viewfinder List. The Boy in the Bubble, narrated by Alan Rickman, was the first 3D Stereoscopic film made in Ireland.
The film went on to be awarded the 2012 IFTA for Best Animation and is currently is being developed into a feature length production. Kealan is currently signed by Warner Bros. to write and direct the feature animated film Bolivar. The film is being produced by Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind). Kealan is also currently in development on a number of films Live Action and Animation with Heyday Films and Josephson Entertainment.
