Bio
Eleonora Volpe is an Irish-resident of Italian origin. She is an award-winning Director and Screenwriter with 26 years experience in the film and advertising industries. She was awarded a Masters Degree in Foreign Literature & Languages with a specialization in Italian Renaissance Arts by the University La Sapienza, Rome, Italy, as well as a Masters Degree in Film, Theatre & TV Direction and a Masters in Fine Arts from the International Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, Russia.
She has made several short films, of between 20 and 50 minutes, music videos, documentaries, corporate films, over a hundred commercials for well-known international companies, such as Procter & Gamble, Hyundai Motors, Pepsi, Hush Puppies, ENI, Ferrero, etc., and well-known international agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Grey Worldwide and others).
One of the highlights of her career was being involved as a unit director in Sergio Leone's project The 900 Days Siege of Leningrad, as well as writing a script (awarded a Premio Solinas in Italy) for Ismail Merchant of Merchant/ Ivory Productions, UK.
Eleonora has written a large number of stories, scripts for short and feature films, and a historical novel for which she was awarded a jury's special mention at the Italo Clavino Literary Award in 2014. She also has an extensive experience as an artist and production designer.
At present she is developing a feature project called The Slave and writing her second novel.
