Bio
Eamonn Norris is a television and film director based in Ireland and the USA.
He recently wrote and directed his first feature film, the comedy drama 'Making It' which premiered in October 2016 as the opening night film of the Kerry Film Festival.
‘Making It’ won the Best Feature Film award at the New Jersey Irish Film Festival 2017 and was selected as one of the highlights of the Galway Film Fleadh by the Irish Independent newspaper in July 2017. To date it has also played at the Berlin Irish Film Festival and The Dingle International Film Festival.
He is a director on TG4's long running Irish TV drama, Ros na Rún. He has directed 11 episodes of the show since 2015 with more episodes on the way in 2017.
In 2015 he worked as second unit director on the horror feature film ‘Brackenmore’.
Eamonn has written and directed several short films that have featured at festivals around the world. He won 'The 50 Hour Film' competition at the Kerry Film Festival in 2014 for the short film 'The Deadline'. In 2015 he won 'The Audience Award' at the Oddalenia short film festival for his film 'The Countryman'.
He has worked in various departments on Irish TV shows such as Single Handed (RTE) and Mattie (RTE) as well as Irish language dramas, Údar (TG4) and Na Cloigne (TG4). He also worked on Ireland’s The Late Late Show (RTÉ) and the CBS TV drama, Blue Bloods in New York City.
