Bio
Cassidy is managing director of Timesnap (Films) Ltd which he runs with writer/producer Bill Tyson. He also founded Timesnap.net - an online ‘invite only’ private network for screen professionals. With a background in photography and journalism, Cassidy’s early directorial work was in documentary but recent years have seen him concentrate on drama with his 2008 Irish Film Board funded short Whatever Turns You On scooping several awards on the international festival circuit. Cassidy’s most recent project is The House - an eight-part drama series for TV.
2009 sees Whatever Turns You On continue to perform on the international festival circuit with official selections for Aspen US, Tréscourt France, Garden State US, Egypt, Swaziland and Heart of Gold Australia, amongst others. I Hate That Smile has been picked up by a distributor and Cassidy is in pre production on another Irish Film Board funded short Satellite of Love. He is also in development on his debut feature.
