Bio
Dathaí Keane is a TV and film writer/director. He began his career as an editor before moving into directing and he has written and directed a number of award-winning documentaries. He recently completed work on An Klondike, a bilingual Western series that he created and directed. An Klondike ran for two seasons on TG4 and has been distributed internationally under the title Dominion Creek. It has been acquired by various international broadcasters including Netflix and AcornTV. An Klondike was also released in a theatrical version and was selected as the Closing Film of the Galway Film Fleadh in 2015. Dathaí was awarded the IFTA for Best Director Drama at the 2017 Irish and Film Television Awards for his work on the second season of An Klondike. He was also awarded the SDGI ‘Foras na Gaeilge’ Award in 2017 for Outstanding Contribution in Irish language to Film and TV.
