Bio

 

Adrian McCarthy is co-owner of Wildfire Films and independent production company based in Dublin.

 

Over the last 15 years Wildfire Films have produced quality, entertaining and informative television and feature documentaries, TV series and feature films, both for national and international audiences. Their programmes and films have been commissioned or transmitted by; RTE, TG4, Channel 4, BBC, TV 3, ARTE Germany, YLE Finland, SBS Australia and many other International broadcasters. Their films have won numerous awards and have been screened at film festivals throughout the world.

 

As well as directing he has produced and exec produced numerous documentaries including ‘Somebody To Love’ 52min directed by Anna Rodgers; ‘Living Colour’ 80min directed by Eamon Little ; ‘The Riordans – Tea Taboo and Tractors’ 52min directed by Gerry Nelson; ‘Red Mist – Roy Keane and The Football Civil War’ 58min, directed by Eamon Little; ‘Consuming Passions’ 16x25min series, numerous directors; ‘Sing and You Win’ 25min, directed by Oda O’Carroll ; ‘Mighty Talk – A Journey With Druid Synge’ 52min, directed by Ronan Fox ; ‘Happiness’, directed by Conor Horgan ; ‘When Pigs Carry Sticks’ 52min, directed by Oda O’Carroll. ‘To Russia With Love’ 50min – directed by Louise Wadley.He has also exec produced; ‘Deep End Dance’, directed by Conor Horgan ; ‘Stone Pastures’ 80min, directed by Donagh Coleman.

 

Prior to making documentaries Adrian spent seven years working as a location manager and assistant director on Feature Films and TV drama.
